Alexander Rodchenko was born in St. Pertersburg. After he had studied at the Kazan School of Art, he moved to Moscow. He had sympathy for Suprematism of Kasimir Malevich. In 1914, he began to draw abstract art paintings.
Rodchenko's works had distinctive atmosphere. In 1921, he gave up painting. He concentrated on graphic design. He widened his appeal except paintings.
