Georges Braque

Georges Braque was born in Argenteuil, Val-d'Oise. After he studied art in Le Havre, he apprenticed with a decorator in Paris. He was inspired by Henri Matisse and André Derain. He adopted a Fauvist style.

Later, Georges Braque was influenced by Paul Cézanne. That was how cubism was born.
